Recently, I introduced the new
Stock Screener. It was well-received with many requests to add metrics and capabilities to it.
This week, I spent some time to add the ability to share your Screener easily. There are a few things I hope to achieve with this sharing feature.
Easy Translation - To demonstrate how to easy it is to translate a strategy in your mind into a concrete screener. I have translated and
shared a Screener based on an article that I wrote about my strategy towards playing the mini-game,
BeatTheMarket which uses real market data. It would be great if you could share your strategy in the form of screeners too!
Simply Sharing - Currently, there are 282 public portfolios in SGXcafe. Portfolio sharing pages are actually one of most visited pages in SGXcafe. This shows that people enjoy sharing and also viewing shared stuff. Hence, I want to create a channel for people to easily share more.
Improve - By sharing our screeners, we can learn from one another on how to refine them and hence improve them.
P/S: Feel free to let me know if you need more metrics or capabilities to implement your screener.

Due to the switch, I had to take down several features temporarily, and one of the features that went offline was "Dividends Collected". "Dividends Collected" essentially ...
Annualized Dividends and P&L For Your Portfolio
Many features that you see in SGXcafe are requests made by users. I appreciate feedback and feature requests from users, and do my best to make it happen whenever possible. Therefore, if there is any feature that you wish to see in SGXcafe, feel free to let me know! This weekend, I spent some time working on adding new columns (e.g. annualized dividends % and annualized P&L %) to current portfolio ...
Help Shape SGXcafe's Future
Note: There is a one-question survey at the end of the post, and your input is appreciated. Today, I am writing because SGXcafe has reached a crossroad. You might know that SGXcafe started out as a personal project, but I made it available for public use when I thought it might help other small retail investors like myself invest better. However, SGX recently contacted me and said that SGXcafe needs ...
