There exists hundreds of stocks in SGX and deciding what to buy next is not an easy task. In part one of the "What to buy next?" article, I shared a few tools in SGXcafe designed to help me with this problem, including a new screener tool, Screener added to SGXcafe about 3 weeks ago.

Screener was met with very positive response and high usage, and I received comments on how useful it was and requests to add more metrics. Therefore, I decided to spend more time improving it and have since doubled the number of metrics available to screen stocks from the initial 15 to current 30. I am happy to add more metrics if you have additional suggestions.
Updates: As of 7th July 2016, there are more than 40 different metrics.

I have also incorporated Screener to the daily market update email of SGXcafe. This would enable you to create a screener profile (or use the default profiles) and have its results sent straight to your inbox daily without having to perform the screening action manually everyday. Of course, you can always adjust your email preferences if you prefer not to receive Screener updates.

Happy investing!

SGXcafe Andriod App Now Available!
A few weeks ago, I released an iOS app for SGXcafe. Naturally, Android users started to request an app as well. However, just like it was for iOS, I do not have any experience with Android development either. Hence, I jokingly requested a friend from work to build the SGXcafe Android app for me and to my utmost surprise, he showed me a first version the next day. Of course, SGXcafe mobile apps are ...

Trapped in Chennai, India
On a recent business trip to India, I was stranded in Chennai because of massive flooding everywhere, including the airport, due to the worst rains the city has seen in the recent century. I shall skip the details of who, what, when, where, why and how I was trapped and escaped, but focus instead on what I felt during my time there. The Rich vs The Poor It was Day 3 since the heavy flooding started. ...
